Counselling at Life-Beyond Therapy can benefit anyone who is struggling with a mental health challenge or looking to improve their overall emotional wellness. I work with clients of all ages and cultural backgrounds.


Are you offering Online, Distance or Phone Counselling? 

Yes for your convenience and I use secure programs with end-to-end encryption to protect your privacy. Phone sessions are also available to meet your needs if you do not have a secure internet network.


What about In-Person Counselling?

At this time, I am offering Online, Distance and Phone Counselling due to allocating a new office space.


Fees

Counselling sessions (60 min.):  $130/hr, plus GST.  

Sliding Scale:  If you require a reduced rate, please contact me to discuss your needs and support you are seeking.

Groups: Mindfulness and Wellness programs are offered in a secure space during summer at variable cost.

  

Insurance and Health Coverage

Based on your care plan and unique needs, check with your provider to find out if you have coverage for therapy using the following information: T. Jennifer Adams, Canadian Certified Counsellor (C.C.C.), Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association  #7181.


When do I book appointments?

The frequency of booking appointments are based on your unique needs that brought you to counselling. As well as having access to additional support and resources available in your community. I am available to support you on your journey towards healing and to answer any questions you have regarding your wellness plan.


What to expect in the counselling sessions?

I would like to acknowledge your strength and courage for taking that first step to your wellness by making an appointment. Now you may be wondering what to expect in the process:

  • In the first session, we will review your Intake and Consent forms, discuss what brought you to counselling and then your hopes for life beyond therapy. 
  • You are welcome to ask questions about your counsellor.
  • Be willing to reflect and share why you are seeking counselling now.
  • Be kind to yourself because counselling can be emotional and you are allowed to have these feelings.
  • Based on your unique, we will work collaboratively to come up with a wellness plan that is suitable for your needs.
  • Take your sessions one at a time, asses how you are feeling and value of each sessions.
  • Before and after each sessions, we will take time to pause with intentional mindfulness and breathing exercises to feel grounded. During the sessions we will also pause to bring awareness and honour how you are feeling.
